What Does A True Partnership Look Like?

“Community” is one of the 7 Pillars to greater health and can be defined as just two people in a romantic relationship. If you want to have a deeply connected, divine partnership, it’s not enough that the only thing the two of you have in common is being in love with one another.

✅Open and honest communication - allow yourselves to be vulnerable with one another, without criticism, judgement, or over-sensitivity to where one feels the need to defend themselves.

✅Define your roles as the man and the woman in the relationship, as well as what that partnership is going to look like. What will you address together as a team when things come up?

✅Shared vision - what does your lives together look like? What would you like to create and build for your family?

✅Shared values - are you both in agreement on the more important topics like; money, sex, raising kids and religion?

✅Shared lifestyle - do you both enjoy doing the same things? Do you both keep a household the same way? Topics such as; activity, entertainment, sleep routines, eating habits and cleaning the house all play an important role.

It’s important to understand that while the man has a specific role and the woman has a specific role, the two of you are equals, in the relationship and in life.

It’s also important that, regardless of whether both of you are doing your own thing and working towards your own individual goals, you create time to reconnect, check in with one another about wants and needs, ground yourselves and realize that everything you are doing is growing your relationship in a forward direction.
