The Difference Between Body pH & Urine pH

When we talk about pH levels, we need to look at not only body pH, but also urine pH.

The pH scale is on a scale of 1 to 14, with 1 being the most acidic and 14 being the most alkaline, with 7 being neutral.

We want the body to be more alkaline, so nothing like pathologies or microbes can grow in it. Body pH should be anywhere between 7.1 to 7.3.

When the body is too acidic, it pulls calcium out of the most nutrient-dense sources to help balance the bio chemistry, and the pH back to alkaline.

The two most nutrient-dense sources, are the teeth and the bones. Overtime, as calcium is being pulled out to balance body pH, the teeth and bones can become demineralized, which over time can cause osteopenia and osteoporosis.

With urine pH, we want it to be slightly more on the acidic side at 6.6 to 6.8. With the pH being slightly more acidic, It indicates that we are removing pathologies and microbes from the body and allowing the body to be more alkaline.

If urine pH is too alkaline, this indicates that there may be an infection.

With someone who’s body is chronically acidic, there's an increased possibility of acid reflux, kidney stones, gout, dental disease and cancer.

A high protein diet, cow dairy products, coffee, tobacco and alcohol all can help produce acidity in the body. It is important that we eat foods also more alkaline to balance out our nourishment, lower our stress levels and minimize our exposures to chemicals, metals and other toxins.

Natural ways to combat acidity are:

✅Eliminate certain acidic foods from your diet
✅Reduce exposure to toxins, chemicals and metals in the environment and the home More green cruciferous vegetables ✅Drink ionized alkaline water
✅Apple Cider Vinegar
✅Lemon
✅Baking soda
✅Chlorella
✅Lower stress levels
✅Get quality sleep
