Prostate Health

The prostate is a small gland in men that helps make semen. It’s located just below the bladder in front of the rectum and wraps around the tube that carries urine and semen out of the body (known as the urethra).

As men get older (beginning at the age of 25), the prostate tends to grow larger. If your prostate gets too large, known as BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia), it can cause a number of health issues:

❌Sudden difficulty urinating

❌Urinary tract infections

❌Urinary stones

❌Damage to the kidneys

❌Blood in the urine

While doctors don’t know the actual cause of an enlarged prostate, some factors are:

👉🏻Aging and the change in cells of the testicles
