wake the HEALTH up!

“In order to change an existing paradigm, you do not struggle to try and change the problematic model. You create a new model and make the old one obsolete.”
~ R. Buckminster Fuller
This quote applies not just to the systems set up in our country that need to be changed; education, health care, our foods, insurance, etc…, but also applies to our individual, personal lives.
We all have similar issues whether we admit it or not, and it’s hard to not only make a change, but sometimes it’s even harder to admit to yourself that something needs to change.
Those close to me know I’ve attempted to make a change in the existing, problematic (healthcare) model, only to become extremely critical of myself and realize I’m making very little impact, at least the way I thought I wanted to.
Then, I decided to take a different approach. An approach called the “ripple effect.” What if I help one, two, twenty, two hundred people at a time and those individuals go out and start educating and assisting others? I may not be able to change the existing model, but the movement towards a healthier species will grow and become a more energetic force.
If something isn’t working in your life, change it! It may sound simple, it may look difficult, but the first step forward is the commitment to change, rather than just the interest to.
If you don’t have the commitment to change your life, then you’ll sit there and analyze and over analyze, causing paralysis of thought and procrastination. I’ve had very good experience with that myself.
It may not be easy, but being authentic with yourself and recognizing what isn’t working, gaining clarity of purpose and how you want to impact your community and this world, and the strength to implement small, actionable steps and practice showing up daily, is better than doing nothing at all.
Just remember, doing the same thing over and over again, is insanity and trust me, you will go insane sooner or later!
